Ah well, the semester has ended officially and my grades have been submitted. About 25% of my students got a D+ or below, which is a failing grade. And, believe me, I gave a boat load of extra credit to them for bringing their iclickers to class and if they participated in research. Still, for many this wasn't quite enough to push them to a passing grade.
I won't have any of my own stories to tell about students until August when I start teaching again. However, from time to time I will update with stories from my colleagues who are teaching the late summer session.
